‘It makes me sad to think that people out there aren’t friends with their ex,’ said singer/actress. By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus Photo: Frazer Harrison/Getty Images Last week, rumors began to emerge that Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas were rekindling their romance after the two recorded the charity song “Pass It On” and were later seen getting lunch together in Los Angeles. Well, Miley , who is dating model/musician Justin Gaston, has taken to her Twitter page to clear up the rumors and assure everyone that she’s not going back to her ex. “I like to keep my private life as private as possible,” she wrote. “Justin and Nick are two very amazing people, and they both mean so much to me.” She also added that “it makes me sad to think that people out there aren’t friends with their ex [boyfriend], because let me tell you, it is possible.” Miley has been candid about her split with Nick Jonas , and in her book, “Miles to Go,” she called him her “Prince Charming.” But the singer/actress has also been quite public about hitting the town with current beau Gaston. In another Twitter post, she wrote, “I heard once ‘u can love more than one in your life but there is only one love of your life.’ I love both of them so much and they are both very dear to my heart.” Cyrus called Justin “amazing,” adding, “He can always make me laugh and has a heart of gold. And Nick is so lovely. He reaches out to so many people with his music, not only with his talent but with his heart. Our love for music is something that keeps our friendship together.” Miley added that no matter what, Nick will be her friend forever. Hoping that her Tweets cleared up any speculation people may have about the relationship, she said, “So there. That’s all I will say about this stupid rumor.” Related Artists Miley Cyrus Jonas Brothers

Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Heidi Montag Tweet About Same-Sex Marriage

Cyrus, Montag mention religion in support of same-sex nuptials. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Todd Williamson/WireImage Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears have taken to Twitter to support gay marriage, just days after Miss California Carrie Prejean sparked controversy during Sunday night’s Miss USA competition when asked by celeb blogger Perez Hilton if more states should legalize same-sex marriage. Prejean stated her opinion that marriage should be between a man and a woman — and in the process has made an enemy of Hilton — but has also started a conversation among many notable celebrities on Twitter. “Love is love!” Britney Tweeted to Perez. “People should be able to do whatever makes them happy!” Miley Cyrus Tweeted similar thoughts, telling Hilton, “Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That’s like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he’s gay and that is wrong and very sad! Like I said everyone deserves to be happy. I am a Christian and I love you — gay or not. Because you are no different that anyone else! We are all God’s children!” Apparently her comments are right in line with those of “Hills” star Heidi Montag, who is expected to marry the show’s Spencer Pratt this weekend. “God says in the bible that we should love our neighbor and he created us all as equals. I know in my heart that gays and lesbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage and I hope to one day go to your wedding, Perez!!!” Heidi’s and Miley’s Tweets have apparently led to a Twittermance. On Tuesday, Montag told Miley, “Let’s [meet] up!!!! we should have a bible study!! I love Miley!!!! Jesus loves Miley!” Related Artists Britney Spears Miley Cyrus

‘Hannah Montana’ Album Finally Reaches Top Of Billboard Charts

‘Making the Band’ stars Day26 come in at #2 with their second album. By Gil Kaufman Miley Cyrus Photo: Sheryl Nield It took a few weeks, but Miley Cyrus will finally reach the top of the Billboard 200 charts with the soundtrack to the “Hannah Montana” movie . The album, which debuted at #2 three weeks ago and dipped down to #5 before bumping back up to the runner-up slot last week, will reach the pinnacle despite a 32 percent dip in sales thanks to 133,000 more units moved, putting Cyrus over the 500,000 mark. That was more than enough to beat out the second album from Diddy’s Day26, Forever in a Day , which, with sales of 113,000, will bow in the #2 spot, just ahead of last week’s #1, Rascal Flatts ‘ Unstoppable , which plummeted nearly 70 percent after a strong debut with 107,000 units moved. The only other debut in the top 10 was the surprisingly strong showing from Smashing Pumpkins-esque rockers Silversun Pickups, whose Swoon landed at #7 on sales of 43,000. The rest of the top 10 included: “Twilight Soundtrack” at #4 (49,000), Now 30 at #5 (45,000) , Jadakiss , Last Kiss at #6 (44,000), Lady Gaga , Fame at #8 (36,000), Jason Aldean , Wide Open at #9 (35,000) and Taylor Swift , Fearless at #10 (32,000). As their star finally begins to rise in their own United States after years of megastardom in the U.K., Kings of Leon ‘s eight-month-old Only By the Night jumped up 13 spots to #18 on sales of 19,000 as they kick off their first major U.S. arena tour. Prince ‘s three-disc Target-only Lotus Flow3r took a dive in its third week, dipping 67 percent on sales of 22,000 as it fell out of the top 10 to #15 and Kelly Clarkson ‘s comeback hit, All I Ever Wanted notched its lowest chart position since its release more than a month ago, sliding down to #19 on sales of 19,000 after a 51 percent drop-off from the week before. She wasn’t alone, though, with the exception of the Pickups’ and Day26 chart debuts and the KOL’s uptick, every other album in the top 20 suffered a double-digit decline, with nearly half getting slashed by 50 percent or more. After charting with digital sales, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs leapt up nearly 20 spots to #27 with the physical release of It’s Blitz! , which moved 14,000 copies. Fellow indie darlings Death Cab for Cutie also had a strong week with their Open Door EP, which hit stores last week after debuting online, moving up nearly 50 spots to #30 on sales of 13,000. Jennifer Hudson definitely got the “American Idol” bump, as her nearly eight-month-old self-titled debut rocketed from #103 to #42 after her return to her old stomping grounds netted her 9,000 in sales, pushing the album over the 700,000 mark. Way down at #158, My Morning Jacket ‘s live EP, Celebracion De La Ciudad Natal, racked up more than 3,000 in sales and buzzy Beck-esque blues/rap act Cage the Elephant debuted at #171 with their self- titled album on sales of just over 3,000. After months of talk and beef with 50 Cent , look for Rick Ross’ Deeper Than Rap next week, as well as the chart debuts from Asher Roth and Depeche Mode . Rapper surprised, ‘especially when I get texts like, ‘Congratulations on Teen Vogue !’ By Jocelyn Vena Miley Cyrus and Lil Jon Photo: David Aguilera/ Steve Granitz/ BuzzFoto/ FilmMagic Friends of Miley Cyrus shouldn’t be offended if, when they try to text or call the teen queen, she doesn’t respond. They should know that these days they aren’t getting in touch with Cyrus, but instead with rapper Lil Jon , who recently acquired the Disney star’s old phone number. “I was basically in shock, like, ‘How did that happen?!’ ” Lil Jon said in a statement, according to “Access Hollywood.” “Especially when I get texts like, ‘Congratulations on Teen Vogue !’ ” The rapper added that in addition to congratulatory texts, he’s also been receiving calls from a lot of the stars’ friends. Lil Jon doesn’t seem to mind, now that the initial shock of getting the number has worn off. In fact, he’s going to keep it and maybe eventually Cyrus’ friends will realize it’s not her number and finally get Cyrus’ new digits. “I’m gonna keep it ’cause I don’t answer numbers I don’t know anyway,” he said. He added that he’s a fan of the “Hannah Montana” star. “Yeah, I like Miley! My son likes her show,” he told “Access Hollywood.” “I’ll probably run into her at some award show.” The rapper — whose new album, Crunk Rock, is coming out later this year — initially broke the news of getting Cyrus’ old phone number on his Twitter page last week. He Tweeted, “How come I jus got a new phone number and it’s f—ing Miley Cyrus old number!!! Stop callin me lil damn girls!!!! Trues story!! No BS!!” Related Videos A Week Of Miley Related Artists Miley Cyrus Lil Jon

Jamie Foxx’s Miley Cyrus Comments Were ‘Hurtful,’ Dad Billy Ray Says

‘If I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic,’ he says on ‘The Bonnie Hunt Show.’ By Jocelyn Vena Miley & Billy Ray Cyrus Photo: Tony R. Phipps/WireImage After Jamie Foxx apologized to Miley Cyrus , Billy Ray Cyrus is addressing the comments Foxx made last weekend about his teen daughter. “It was hurtful,” Billy Ray said on Thursday’s “Bonnie Hunt Show,” according to Us Weekly. “There wasn’t nothing funny about it. And, quite frankly, I think if I said those things about his daughter, he might not find it so comedic.” On his satellite-radio show Sunday, Foxx told the 16-year-old Disney star to “grow up,” make a sex tape and do drugs. The comments were in response to a radio interview Cyrus did , in which she vowed to “ruin” Radiohead after they refused to meet with her. Foxx has a 14-year-old daughter and addressed how upset he would be if someone had said what he said about her when he stopped by “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Tuesday. “I so apologize to [Cyrus], and this is sincere,” Foxx said. “I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far.” He added: “There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart. Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.” Earlier this week, a source told E! News that Billy Ray wasn’t pleased to hear what Foxx had said about his daughter. “He thinks Jamie was out of line and didn’t find any humor in it,” the source said, pointing out that Miley had even met Foxx at the “Kids’ Inaugural Concert” in January. “He doesn’t understand why he would do that to Miley, especially since he has a teenage daughter himself.” Related Artists Jamie Foxx Miley Cyrus Billy Ray Cyrus

‘Sometimes, as comedians, we go a little bit too far,’ actor says of his radio-show comments. By Jocelyn Vena Jamie Foxx on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” on Tuesday Photo: NBC On Tuesday night, Jamie Foxx made an apology to teen queen Miley Cyrus for off-color comments he made about her on his satellite radio show on Sunday. When Foxx stopped by “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” to promote his new movie “The Soloist,” he explained the reason for his comments. “I so apologize to [Cyrus], and this is sincere,” Foxx said, referring to his comments that Miley should “grow up,” make a sex tape and do drugs. “I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far.” He went on to defend his radio show as “the black Howard Stern.” “We go at everybody,” Foxx told Leno. “There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart.” Foxx, who has a 14-year-old daughter, said that he would like to call the 16-year-old Cyrus to apologize. “Miley, I apologize, so I’ll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand.” Earlier on Tuesday, a source told E! News that Miley’s dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, wasn’t pleased to hear what Foxx had said about his daughter. “He thinks Jamie was out of line and didn’t find any humor in it,” the source said, pointing out that Miley had even met Foxx at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert in January. “He doesn’t understand why he would do that to Miley, especially since he has teenage daughter himself. “Billy Ray isn’t going to say anything publicly because he doesn’t want this to escalate,” the source said. “He wishes it would just go away.” Related Artists Jamie Foxx Miley Cyrus

Rascal Flatts Beat Miley And Jadakiss For Billboard #1

Jada’s Last Kiss debuts at #3. By Gil Kaufman Rascal Flatts Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Sometimes, an album title is more than just an album title. Case in point: The sixth album from country trio Rascal Flatts , the aptly named Unstoppable, which will easily top next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart with 351,000 copies sold, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan. That solid opening bow — the second best this year behind U2′s 480,000 first week — helped keep the soundtrack to the “Hannah Montana” movie at #2 with 196,000 in sales. Just behind the Miley Cyrus effort was the chart debut by veteran rapper and Lox member Jadakiss , with his third solo album, The Last Kiss, which racked up 135,000 units moved. He’s followed by the strong #4 opening from country singer Jason Aldean ‘s Wide Open (109,000). The rest of the top 10 includes: NOW 30 (#5, 99,000), Taylor Swift’s Fearless (#6, 82,000, pushing her over the 3 million mark), Keith Urban’s Defying Gravity (#7, 72,000, a nearly 60 percent falloff from last week’s debut), the “Twilight” soundtrack (#8, 68,000), Prince’s Target-exclusive three-disc set LotusFlow3r (#9, 66,000, down 61 percent from last week’s debut) and Lady Gaga’s Fame (#10, 56,000). After more than a year on the charts, Carrie Underwood’s 2007 album, Carnival Ride, had another solid week, jumping from #34 to #16 on a nearly 100 percent increase in sales to 32,000. Flo Rida , on the other hand, shed 43 percent of the first-week business of his R.O.O.T.S. album, despite a high-profile slot on “American Idol,” with 31,000 units moved. As he contemplates retirement, Bow Wow gets the bad news that his potential swan song, New Jack City Pt. II, took a header in its second week, free-falling from a #16 debut to #48 on sales of nearly 13,000. Also debuting on the charts is the three-disc Grateful Dead set, To Terrapin: Hartford ’77 (#168, 4,000), a remastered chronicle of what is considered by many Deadheads to be one of the band’s finest live shows. Elsewhere, Jesse McCartney’s Departure makes its way back onto the charts at #79 (just under 9,000) nearly a year after its release. Among the week’s other debuts, veteran rocker Neil Young’s car-themed homage to his home-brewed hybrid Lincvolt, Fork in the Road, debuts at #19 with 28,000 in sales. The latest from Miley’s dad, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus , Back to Tennessee, slides in at #41 (14,000). And rapper Mims’ Guilt manages a #53 debut with 12,000 satisfied customers. England’s Doves break in at #88 with Kingdom of Rust (8,000). Former “American Idol” singer Kellie Pickler’s self-titled country album hits #112 (6,000), and indie darling Bat for Lashes (a.k.a. singer Natasha Khan) lands at #140 (5,000) in the first week for her Two Suns album. Next week’s charts will see the debuts of albums from Diddy ‘s Day26 and the Silversun Pickups . Related Artists Rascal Flatts Jadakiss Miley Cyrus

Actor/musician insults ‘Hannah Montana’ star following Radiohead incident. By Jocelyn Vena Jamie Foxx Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images Last month, Miley Cyrus said that she was going to “ruin” Radiohead after the band wouldn’t meet her at the Grammy Awards in February. A rep for the band later shot back, Now, a month after the incident, Jamie Foxx is commenting on what the 16-year-old said about the band. On his Sirius radio show, “The Foxxhole,” on Sunday night, after a listener called in to talk about the incident, Foxx went on a curse-filled tirade after semi-sarcastically posing the question “Who is Miley Cyrus?” Perez Hilton reports. He then went on to describe her as the girl “with all the gums” and wondered if she was the one with the gum transplant. He continued, “She’s going to ruin Radiohead’s career? The same Radiohead that gets paid a million dollars just to sample their song? That Radiohead?” A bunch of his guests on the show were also getting into the act, laughing at Foxx’s comments and name-calling the Disney star. The group also called Cyrus a “little white b—-.” Foxx then went on to compare Cyrus to other former teen queens, saying that Cyrus should do drugs like Britney Spears, become a lesbian like Lindsay Lohan, make a sex tape and “grow up.” Cyrus is known to ride around her neighborhood on a bicycle, and Foxx also suggested that she “catch Chlamydia on a bicycle seat.” Related Artists Jamie Foxx Miley Cyrus Radiohead

Miley Cyrus, Nick Jonas Reunite For Fender Bender

April 13, 2009 by

Former couple get in minor accident after meeting up for lunch. By Jocelyn Vena Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus in Los Angeles on Saturday Photo: David Aguilera/BuzzFoto/FilmMagic Sure, Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus will be teaming up for the charity single “Pass It On,” but the teen stars and former flames also got together for lunch over the weekend in Los Angeles. Jonas and Cyrus were seen leaving the Village Idiot restaurant in Hollywood, according to Hollywood.TV , which also has video footage of a little fender bender the onetime couple were involved in on their way out. In the clip, the stars get into Jonas’ Mustang Cobra in an alley. The car turns onto the street, scraping an SUV in the process. Despite apparently knocking off part of the other vehicle’s bumper, Jonas keeps driving. The pair dated a couple of years back, and Miley admitted last year that their breakup left her in a “weird funk.” Still, she’s never been shy to talk about how much she cared and still cares for Nick. In fact, she once said that even though their breakup left her devastated, she’d still be open for a reunion. “Maybe he’ll be my best friend for the rest of my life,” she told Seventeen magazine at the time, “or maybe I’ll end up marrying Nick Jonas!” Currently, Miley, who also called Nick her “Prince Charming” in her book, “Miles to Go,” is dating model/musician Justin Gaston . Since his split with Miley, Nick has been romantically linked to both Selena Gomez and Jordan Pruitt , although he has never confirmed relationships with either of the Disney stars. He did tell Barbara Walters , however, that much like Miley, he hasn’t closed the door on a romantic reunion: “I think it really comes down to a good friendship and whatever that has in the future.” Related Photos Nick Jonas And Miley Cyrus Have Lunch And A Traffic Accident Related Artists Miley Cyrus Jonas Brothers
